Senior Reliability Engineer (Truro)
In this role, you have the opportunity to make life better:
The Senior Reliability Engineer will provide reliability input/analysis as an important part of a multi-disciplined product development team helping to bring leading edge medical ultrasound products to market and improving healthcare worldwide.
You are responsible for:
- Contributing as a key member of new product development teams to ensure the reliability of new and modified transducer products.
- Responsible for guiding the new product development and sustaining change teams to meet product reliability goals.
- Participates in the development of design specifications and verification test plans and reports.
- Responsible for developing Reliability Plans for each development project, creating Reliability Growth Test Plans and Reports and tracking initial field reliability metrics.
- Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely affect field reliability.
- Facilitate DFMEA and Safety Risk analysis.
- Works with the Transducer Service Repair function to understand and track field failure modes, determine root cause of failure and coordinates the development of engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect product reliability and the customer experience.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following:
- Minimum of a BS in: Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, Industrial, Systems, Quality or other related Engineering disciplines

Scientist – IGRT Devices (Merseyside)
In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Make an impact on the future of image guided therapy together with a fast-moving, creative, and multi-functional team. You will define, coordinate, and drive research activities in the area of novel interventional therapy devices with a customer-centric approach that combines cutting-edge technologies into a clinical solution.
You are responsible for:
- Identifying new opportunities for improving image-guided therapy by creating novel interventional devices and new uses of existing interventional therapies in combination with interventional imaging.
- Designing, implementing, and testing prototypes in a hands-on laboratory environment.
- Identifying, ranking, and mitigating technical and non-technical risks.
- Leading performance analysis studies and safety testing for early feasibility prototypes.
- Translating benchtop prototypes into pre-clinical and clinical use and interacting with clinicians to further develop prototypes.
- Conducting studies, publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts, creating intellectual property, authoring technical reports, and contributing to value proposition creation.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
- MS in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the medical device field working on novel research activities or new product development
- Extensive experience in the design, prototyping, and development of endovascular medical devices (e.g. catheter-based devices, angioplasty balloons, stents, atherectomy, thrombectomy, intravascular ultrasound, pressure wires)
- Experience with material selection, knowledgeable of material sciences and processes (i.e. injection molding, extrusion); rapid prototyping techniques
- Knowledge in the area of minimally invasive solutions for cardiology, interventional radiology, or vascular surgery, with a focus on cardiovascular catheterization procedures.
- Experience with translational research and working with clinical partners to translate customer needs to design requirements.
- Experience in developing test methods and protocols, conducting hands-on testing (in vitro and in vivo environments), analyzing data, presenting scientific results through technical reports and publications

Senior Electronics Engineer (Truro)
You will be responsible for
- End to end product development from Advanced Development (AD) stage, Product development, Launch and Maintenance (PDLM) for domestic appliances.
- Develop an electronics hardware including requirement definition, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
- Create products according to the specifications and electronics hardware development process.
- Create engineering documentation to comply with product development policies, practices and procedures.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Bachelor degree or Master in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent with minimum of 5 years working experience in electronics appliance development.
- Able to translate design requirement to schematics design, PCBA layout, component specification and selection.
- Proficient in Altium Designer (preferred) or other electronics design CAD tools.
- Able to conduct test & verify design against requirements, including EMC test.
- Able to apply DFSS method in design, and able to perform FMEA, de-rating and tolerance analysis for electrical design.
- Experiences in wireless communication (Wifi & BLE) protocol, IoT (internet of thing) and embedded firmware programming would be added advantage.
- Experiences in designing hand-held devices with rechargeable batteries would be added advantage.
